I think this quote needs to be perceived by the reader himself, although, This quote doesn't really enhance the novel at all. It's just rather easy to remember. Infinite; everlasting, eternal. This quote, though I hate it because it's overused, overquoted, overrated, and overcited by pseudo-intellectual pseudo-angsty prepubescent teenagers, holds a lot of meaning. Jan 21, PM. I haven't seen the movie so I can't vouch for it's overuse. It's the last sentence in Part 1 and as soon as I finished it, I updated my Facebook status and said this "The Perks of Being a Wallflower is on sale in the iBookstore. I just finished Part 1 and it has invoked a nostalgia of my own coming of age that has brought me to tears by reminding me of a time when I too felt infinite.
Jan 22, AM. It doesn't move me as much as it moves others and I can say, that because of that lack of encompassing emotion attached to the phrase, it feels like it's overused to some degree. Having said that, I cannot fault anyone for feeling emotion in something I do not. I think the fact that so many kids feel a kinship to these words says something about the generation reading them.

Jan 27, AM. I think it was used beautifully because the moment was just something so simple, and yet for the first time in his life, Charlie felt like he belonged, and in that moment, there was no pain, no suffering, no anger.
The good thing about this quote is that Charlie wasn't even doing anything that extraveggent but he felt infinite and it really shows us that the best things come in life when your not trying to have fun you just have to be with people your love and have the freedom and buzz that comes along with being a teenager feeling infinite.
